The Bundesliga has a long and storied history with the USA, having welcomed more players from the United States than any other top league in Europe. From Tom Dooley, who won the Meisterschale with 1. FC Kaiserslautern, and current USMNT captain Christian Pulisic, who made his name with Borussia Dortmund, to the likes of current national team players Joe Scally and Gio Reyna, the German top-flight remains the go-to destination for exciting, young American talent.
In September 2024, the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga and leading multinational media, sports and entertainment group Relevent signed a long-term collaboration to expand marketing and sales activities across the Americas. In February, following the expansion of its New York team, the Bundesliga announced the opening of a content studio in Guadalajara, Mexico, reinforcing its commitment to delivering localised, high-quality content to fans across North, Central and South America.
