DFL wins “German Design Award”
22 November 2019 – The DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga has been honoured twice with the “German Design Award 2020”. In the “Excellent Communications Design” category, the DFL received two awards – for the creative branding of the Supercup 2018 and for the design of the “Player of the Month” award.
Both projects were implemented jointly with the DFL subsidiary for digital communications, DFL Digital Sports, and had already been honoured with the “German Brand Award” last summer. The “Player of the Month” award was developed in collaboration with the long-standing agency partner Mutabor.
With a high-profile international jury, the “German Design Award” honours innovative products and projects as well as designers that make pioneering contributions to the German and international design landscape. The award is presented by the “Rat für Formgebung”, which was established as a foundation in 1953 on the initiative of the German Bundestag and today supports organisations and companies in consistently creating added brand value through design.
Recently, the DFL was also honoured for its global brand development under the international claim “Football as it’s meant to be” at the 21st International Eyes & Ears Awards.
