DFL sets fixtures for the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 until mid-December
7 October 2020 – The DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga today published the exact schedule for the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 fixtures for match days 9 to 12 of the current 2020-21 season. The schedule was determined on the basis of the information on the group phase of the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League that is now available.
The Bundesliga 2 match between Hamburger SV and FC Erzgebirge Aue, which was due to take place last Sunday, has been rescheduled and will now take place on Wednesday, 21 October. The match was postponed after all of the players and trainers of FC Erzgebirge Aue were ordered by the responsible health authority to self-isolate at home temporarily in response to two cases of COVID-19.
The next exact fixtures are expected to be published in calendar week 46, between 9 and 13 November. This will include the schedule for match day 13 (18-21 December). This is because the identity of all of the clubs taking part in the second round of the DFB-Pokal, which will take place in midweek (22/23 December) following match day 13 of the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2, is not yet known.
