DFL sets fixtures for Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 until matchday 15
13 November 2020 – DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga today published the exact schedule for the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 fixtures for matchdays 13 to 15 of the current 2020-21 season.
In both leagues, matchday 13 marks the end of the year. This matchday will see the encounters between 1. FC Union Berlin and Borussia Dortmund on 18 December and between fourth-placed Bayer 04 Leverkusen and the current leaders FC Bayern München on 19 December.
Next year, both leagues will resume play on Saturday, 2 January. This means there will be no Friday matches on matchday 14. Instead, there will be a Bundesliga match (between VfB Stuttgart and RB Leipzig) on Saturday evening and five Bundesliga 2 matches on Sunday.
On matchday 15, the Bundesliga will see direct clashes between the four UEFA Champions League starters: Borussia Mönchengladbach will host FC Bayern München on Friday evening, while RB Leipzig will face Borussia Dortmund on Saturday. In Bundesliga 2, matchday 15 will include the encounters between 1. FC Nürnberg and Hamburger SV as well as between Eintracht Braunschweig and Fortuna Düsseldorf.
The next exact fixtures for the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 are expected in calendar week 51 between 14 and 18 December.
