2. Bundesliga: Matches of Karlsruher SC and SV Sandhausen postponed due to coronavirus quarantine
8 April 2021 – In Bundesliga 2, the next two matches of both Karlsruher SC and SV Sandhausen cannot go ahead as planned. The matches will be postponed, as both clubs’ professional team have been ordered by the responsible health authorities to self-isolate at home due to cases of COVID-19. Specifically, this affects Karlsruher SC’s matches at Fortuna Düsseldorf (Matchday 28, originally Saturday, 10 April) and against FC Erzgebirge Aue (Matchday 29, originally Saturday, 17 April) as well as SV Sandhausen’s matches at SpVgg Greuther Fürth (Matchday 28, originally Friday, 9 April) and against Hamburger SV (Matchday 29, originally Friday, 16 April). A decision on whether to postpone both team’s games on Matchday 30 shall be made by the DFL at the end of next week, taking into account the situation at the time.
New dates for the matches that have now been postponed will be announced as soon as possible.
