DFL, Sportstadt Düsseldorf and Spielmacher to be joint hosts of SportsInnovation 2022

07 July 2021 – The SportsInnovation trade fair returns to the MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA in Düsseldorf on 11 and 12 May 2022. This time round, it will be in new hands: Düsseldorf-based venue operator and events specialist D.LIVE is to organise the event via its “Sportstadt Düsseldorf” brand, and co-host it with DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga and the sports business conference organiser “Spielmacher”.

All partners involved can bring their own strengths to the table here: the DFL is an innovation leader in professional sport, and generated impetus for the organisation of SportsInnovation several years ago. D.LIVE has been responsible for managing the MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA for many years and is therefore familiar with SportsInnovation. D.LIVE is taking over event management duties from Messe Düsseldorf, which was a key player in the successful development of SportsInnovation.

The conference organiser Spielmacher has been successfully running a conference in Hamburg that shares its name for four years now. It will apply its expertise to the task of devising and delivering a newly structured conference programme, and take charge of the sales side of SportsInnovation.
