Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 fixtures set until beginning of February 2023
27 October 2022 – Today, DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga released the exact schedule for Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 matches until the beginning of February 2023. Fixtures for the current 2022-23 season have now been scheduled for Matchdays 17-19 in the Bundesliga and for Matchdays 18-19 in Bundesliga 2.
Bundesliga Matchday 18 will include the Berlin derby between Hertha Berlin and the current leader 1. FC Union Berlin (Saturday, 28 January, 3:30 p.m. CET). UEFA Champions League contenders FC Bayern München and Eintracht Frankfurt will meet just a few hours later at 6:30 p.m. CET. The next day’s matches will exclusively involve teams from North Rhine-Westphalia: FC Schalke 04 versus 1. FC Köln (3:30 p.m. CET) and Bayer 04 Leverkusen versus Borussia Dortmund (5:30 p.m. CET). On Matchday 19, Dortmund will host the currently third-placed Sport-Club Freiburg (Saturday, 4 February, 3:30 p.m. CET), followed by a clash between Borussia Mönchengladbach and FC Schalke 04 (6:30 p.m. CET).
In Bundesliga 2, Matchday 18 will include an encounter between Bundesliga founding members Hamburger SV and Eintracht Braunschweig (Sunday, 29 January, 1:30 p.m. CET). Matchday 19 will see SC Paderborn 07, currently in second, host sixth-placed Fortuna Düsseldorf (Friday, 3 February, 6:30 p.m. CET), with the Franconian derby between SpVgg Greuther Fürth and 1. FC Nürnberg taking place a day later (Saturday, 4 February, 8:30 p.m. CET).
The next batch of exact fixtures for the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 is expected in calendar week 46 (14–18 November), after the end of the group phases of the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Europa Conference League.
