About the exact schedules

The exact schedule is determined based on numerous factors. These include the fixtures of European club competitions and the DFB-Pokal, as well as any required rest periods for the participating teams as a result. In addition, the interests of fans, the requirements of the respective local authorities, concerns of clubs and stadium operators, and the stipulations of media contracts must also be taken into account. Many of these influencing factors can only be confirmed gradually over the course of a season – the fixtures are therefore scheduled on the basis of the information available at the time.
