Bundesliga match between 1. FSV Mainz 05 and 1. FC Union Berlin postponed

18 January 2024 – Due to the extreme winter weather conditions, it is not possible for the Bundesliga fixture between 1. FSV Mainz 05 and 1. FC Union Berlin to take place on Friday, 19 January, as scheduled. The operator of the MEWA ARENA has taken the decision to close the venue considering the extensive ice affecting the lower tiers of the stadium, especially the standing area, as well as the access roads, which poses a significant safety risk to spectators. A new date for the match will be announced soon.
