Exact schedule for final Matchdays of Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 released

20 March 2024 – DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga has released the exact schedule for the remaining matches of the 2023-24 season for the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2.

In the Bundesliga, Matchday 31 will include two direct clashes between teams from the top third of the table. RB Leipzig will host Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, 27 April, at 3:30 pm CEST, while current leader Bayer 04 Leverkusen will face VfB Stuttgart on the same day at 6:30 pm CEST. Sunday will feature a duel between the current 16th-placed team against the 17th, when 1. FSV Mainz 05 host 1. FC Köln (28 April, 5:30 pm CEST).

The current 18th-placed team, SV Darmstadt 98, will travel on Matchday 32 to VfL Wolfsburg. The match will be played on Saturday at 3:30 pm CEST (4 May). At the same time, FC Bayern München, currently second in the league, will face third-placed VfB Stuttgart. The following weekend, FC Bayern will host VfL Wolfsburg on Sunday at 5:30 pm CEST (12 May), before Bayer 04 Leverkusen play the final match of Matchday 33. The league leaders will visit VfL Bochum 1848 on Sunday, with kick off at 7:30 pm CEST.

In the Bundesliga 2, the promotion contenders will each face opponents from the bottom third of the table as part of the Matchday 31 schedule. On Saturday, 27 April, second-placed Holstein Kiel will play against 1. FC Kaiserslautern, and Hamburger SV, currently in third place, will visit Eintracht Braunschweig. Both matches will kick off at 1:00 pm CEST. On the same day, Fortuna Düsseldorf, currently fourth in the table, will be hosted by FC Schalke 04 at 8:30 pm CEST.

The Hamburger derby will take place a week later, when Hamburger SV play league leaders FC St. Pauli on Matchday 32 (3 May, Friday, 6:30 pm CEST). Another direct clash that impacts the promotion race is scheduled for the following week, when Fortuna Düsseldorf visit Holstein Kiel to play their Saturday evening match (11 May, 8:30 pm CEST).

On Matchday 34, all matches will take place at 3:30 pm CEST – for the Bundesliga on Saturday, 18 May, and for Bundesliga 2 on Sunday, 19 May.
