Bundesliga 2: Match between Hannover 96 and SV Darmstadt 98 reschedulded from Sunday to Saturday
22 October 2024 – The Bundesliga 2 game between Hannover 96 and SV Darmstadt 98 (Matchday 13), previously scheduled for Sunday, November 24, cannot take place as originally scheduled due to Lower Saxony’s public holiday legislation. In agreement with both clubs and media partner Sky, the match will be rescheduled for the day before, on Saturday, November 23 (1 pm CET).
Ansgar Schwenken, DFL Director of Match Operations & Fans, explains: “With a total of 612 fixtures, the creation of the fixtures and the fixture lists is a very complex process that takes into account the requirements of local authorities, security bodies, the central information office for sports operations as well as the interests of fans, clubs, stadium operators and agreements from media contracts. With regard to the public holiday regulations an error occurred during data transmission. We would like to thank the affected clubs and our partners for their support in reaching a constructive solution that was found with the greatest possible lead time to the match day with the fans of both teams in mind.“
