Dr Michael Diederich elected to the DFL Executive Committee

5 December 2024 – The Members Assembly of the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga e.V. elected Dr Michael Diederich to the DFL Executive Committee today.

The Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board and CFO of FC Bayern München succeeds Jan-Christian Dreesen, who stepped down from his position on the DFL Executive Committee at his own request after more than eight years in order to focus more on the strategic development and international representation of the club as Chairman of the Executive Board of FC Bayern München.

The nine-member DFL Executive Committee now consists of the Speaker of the Executive Committee Hans-Joachim Watzke (Borussia Dortmund), the 1st Deputy Speaker Oliver Leki (Sport-Club Freiburg), the 2nd Deputy Speaker Steffen Schneekloth (KSV Holstein Kiel), Dr Michael Diederich (FC Bayern München), Oke Göttlich (FC St. Pauli), Axel Hellmann (Eintracht Frankfurt), Holger Schwiewagner (SpVgg Greuther Fürth) and the two DFL CEOs, Marc Lenz and Steffen Merkel.
