Audiovisual Rights

Audiovisual rights are video rights for live licensing and delayed licensing via the satellite, terrestrial, cable/IPTV, web and mobile distribution channels The DFL awards these rights nationally, typically for a period of four years or seasons.

Along with Germany, the tender for the media rights to the matches of the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2, the Supercup and the relegation play-offs for the seasons from 2021-22 to 2024-25 included distribution in Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and South Tyrol.

The national media tender falls within the responsibility of the Audiovisual Rights DFL department.

Bundesliga International (BLI) is responsible for marketing the audiovisual media rights to the matches in the licensed leagues for all other markets abroad.
