HD SAT Communication GmbH

HD SAT Communication GmbH, a subsidiary of Sportcast GmbH, specialises in the satellite and fibre transmission of live images. It can transmit in HD or UHD format and has a particular focus on events in the sports, business and entertainment sector. Live, worldwide, and directly via satellite or fibre. HD SAT operates nine hybrid SNGs that can transmit both video and data signals via satellite or fibre in all common formats. In addition, a mobile multi-band fly away system is available for worldwide transmissions.

State-of-the-art technology using three uplinks allows the transmission of multiple SD/HD/UHD signals with full redundancy. The SNGs are also equipped with corresponding bipolar downlinks for receiving these signals. All vehicles are equipped with fibre technology and stage boxes that can transmit up to 16 SD/HD/UHD signals. In all, the vehicles have successfully realised more than 20,000 transmissions of the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 since the 2007-08 season, as well as various events in the sports, business and entertainment sector.
