Livecast TV Produktion GmbH operates two identical HDTV outside broadcast vehicles. The core business of the Sportcast GmbH subsidiary is the production, recording, editing and processing of audiovisual signals that are provided via two outside broadcast vehicles. Each outside broadcast vehicle is equipped for productions involving up to ten cameras. The two production units can be quickly connected via simple interfaces and hence be used to control up to 20 cameras simultaneously. The quality standards, combined with rigorous technical demands, serve to ensure the necessary broadcast security.

Since the start of production in 2009, Livecast has successfully realised more than 1,200 TV productions in the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2. Various events in the areas of sports, music and entertainment have also been realised in recent years. In addition, Livecast has been involved in innovative projects within the DFL Group, including leading the design of the corner flag camera that regularly provides unique perspectives in the Supercup and the Bundesliga. In the field of audio, Livecast was involved in developing automated audio mixing, which uses live tracking data to guide the pitchside microphones. The resulting sound is then mixed automatically.
