24.10.2017 - The DFL Group is once again represented at the internationally renowned Sports Marketing & Media Convention (SPORTEL) in Monaco. The new DFL subsidiary Bundesliga International GmbH, responsible for international marketing, is at SPORTEL for the first time in its 20th edition. This year the trade fair runs from 23 to 26 October under the motto “MEET THE ELITE”. A central objective of Bundesliga International GmbH is the early preparation for the new rights period from 2020/21, while a further key subject is the digitalisation of services and media. With its own stand, the unique attributes of the Bundesliga will be conveyed to international broadcasting partners and media representatives under the established motto "Football as it’s meant to be". There has traditionally been a "Bundesliga Breakfast" on the opening day of the event with high-ranking officials.
"The unique fan culture, the full stadia and affordable ticket prices are always highlighted in conversations with numerous international media representatives," said Robert Klein, the Chief Commercial Officer of Bundesliga International. "It consistently shows that the Bundesliga is extremely well positioned around the world. With the introduction of Bundesliga International GmbH, we are now also best equipped in the B2B sector going forward."
