DFL releases exact schedule for Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 matches

05.09.2018 – Now that the match dates for the group phase of the European competitions have been set, the DFL can announce further exact match fixtures for the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2.

Bundesliga fixtures have been scheduled until the 14th matchday. For example, Champions League participant Borussia Dortmund will face German champion FC Bayern München on the 11th matchday of the 56th Bundesliga season. The match will take place on the evening of Saturday, 10 November at 6:30 p.m.. The Ruhr derby between FC Schalke 04 and Borussia Dortmund will kick off on Saturday, 8 December (14th matchday) at 3:30 p.m.
Looking towards easing the strain, additional matches on Sundays and Mondays are also planned for the three German Europa League participants. There will be a Monday fixture on the 13th matchday, when 1. FC Nürnberg plays Europa League participant Bayer 04 Leverkusen (8:30 p.m.). Due to the second round of the DFB-Pokal at the end of October and the break for international games, additional Monday matches will be scheduled in the second half of the season. Two matches will take place on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m.: Sport-Club Freiburg will contend with Bayer 04 Leverkusen on the 7th matchday, while 1. FC Nürnberg will encounter Europa League participant Eintracht Frankfurt on the 9th matchday.

The exact fixtures for Bundesliga 2 were set until the 16th matchday. As the top match, Hamburger SV and 1. FC Köln will face each other on the 12th matchday Monday, 5 November at 8:30 p.m. Also, the match between SG Dynamo Dresden and Hamburger SV that could not take place on the 4th matchday was rescheduled for Tuesday, 18 September at 6:30 p.m.
The next fixtures for Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 are expected in calendar week 45 (5 to 11 November).
