Congratulations to Bayer 04 Leverkusen on winning the 2024 Bundesliga championship

14 April 2024 – The DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga would like to congratulate Bayer 04 Leverkusen on winning the 2024 Bundesliga championship. Manager Xabi Alonso’s team secured the title without suffering a single defeat, thanks to a 5-0 victory over SV Werder Bremen today. Victor Boniface, Granit Xhaka and Florian Wirtz (3) were the goalscorers. With 79 points, Die Werkself are now unassailable and are Bundesliga champions after only 29 matchdays. Never before in the history of the Bundesliga have a team amassed so many points at this point in a season.

Marc Lenz and Steffen Merkel will present the Meisterschale trophy at the BayArena on Matchday 34 after Leverkusen have played their last home match of the season (against FC Augsburg – Saturday 18 May, kick-off at 3:30 p.m. CEST).
