DFL release confirmed schedules for Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 fixtures until beginning of December
5 September 2024 – Following the draw for the second round of the DFB-Pokal, the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga today confirmed the next fixtures for Bundesliga Matchdays 6-12 and the Bundesliga 2 Matchdays 8-14 until the beginning of December.
The programme for Matchday 7 of the Bundesliga includes the game between FC Bayern Munich and VfB Stuttgart on Saturday evening (19 October, 6:30 p.m. CEST). There will be a rematch of the spectacular Supercup on Matchday 9 when Bayer 04 Leverkusen and VfB Stuttgart meet (Friday, 1 November, 8:30 p.m. CET). RB Leipzig and Borussia Mönchengladbach face each other on Matchday 10 (Saturday, 9 November, 6:30 p.m. CET), before reigning champions Bayer 04 Leverkusen host current leaders 1. FC Heidenheim in a clash of two European club competition participants two weeks later on Matchday 11 (Saturday, 23 November, 3:30 p.m. CET). The exact dates have also been set for the clash between Bundesliga newcomers FC St. Pauli and Holstein Kiel (Friday, 29 November, 8:30 p.m. CET) and the ‘Klassiker’ between Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern Munich (Saturday, 30 November, 6:30 p.m. CET) – both matches will take place on Matchday 12.
In Bundesliga 2, current table toppers Fortuna Düsseldorf will face Hamburger SV on Matchday 8 (Sunday, 6 October, 1:30 p.m. CEST). The Franconian derby between SpVgg Greuther Fürth and 1. FC Nürnberg takes place on the following Matchday (Sunday, 20 October, 1:30 p.m. CEST). The game between Hertha BSC and 1. FC Köln on Matchday 11 (Saturday, 2 November, 8:30 p.m. CET) and the match between Hamburger SV and FC Schalke 04 on Matchday 13 (Saturday, 23 November, 8:30 p.m. CET) have also been scheduled. Matchday 14 will see a clash between 1. FC Nürnberg and Fortuna Düsseldorf (Sunday, 1 December, 1:30 p.m. CET).
The next set of exact match schedules for the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 are expected to be announced in the week commencing 4 November after the draw for the DFB-Pokal Round of 16.
