DFL releases exact schedule for Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 fixtures until beginning of February
4 November 2021 – The DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga today announced the exact schedule for the Bundesliga matches from Matchday 14-21 and Bundesliga 2 matches from Matchday 16-21 for the 2021-22 season.
Matches confirmed include the “Klassiker”, between Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern München, which will take place on Matchday 14 (6:30pm CET on Saturday, 4 December).
After the winter break, the Bundesliga will return on Friday, 7 January (8:30 p.m. CET), with the match between FC Bayern and Borussia Mönchengladbach on Matchday 18. Matchday 19 will see an encounter between Dortmund and Sport-Club Freiburg, who currently sit in second and third place respectively (8:30 p.m. CET on Friday, 14 January). A day later, Mönchengladbach and Bayer 04 Leverkusen face off (6:30 p.m. CET on Sunday, 15 January). FC Bayern and RB Leipzig will go head to head on Matchday 21 (6:30 p.m. CET on Saturday, 5 February), as will BVB and Leverkusen (3:30 p.m. CET on Sunday, 6 February).
Kick-offs now confirmed for the Bundesliga 2 include the match between current league leaders FC St. Pauli and third-placed FC Schalke 04 on Matchday 16 (8:30pm CET on Saturday, 4 December), while Hamburger SV and Schalke will meet on Matchday 18 (8:30pm CET on Saturday, 18 December). The Bundesliga 2 will get going again after the winter break on Matchday 19 with fixtures including a match between SV Werder Bremen and Fortuna Düsseldorf (1:30pm CET on Saturday, 15 January).
The next batch of exact fixtures for the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 is expected to be announced in calendar week 50, between 13-17 December, after the conclusion of the group phases of the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Europa Conference League.
