DFL releases exact schedule for Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 fixtures until mid-March 2024

21 December 2023 – Today, the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga released the schedule for Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 matches until mid-March 2024. Fixtures for the current 2023-24 season have now been set for Matchdays 19 to 26 in both leagues.

The exact timing of the encounter between VfB Stuttgart and RB Leipzig on Matchday 19 has now been announced (Saturday, 27 January, 3:30 p.m. CET). On Matchday 20, the prestigious clash between FC Bayern München and Borussia Mönchengladbach will take place on Saturday afternoon at the same time as the Baden-Württemberg duel between Sport-Club Freiburg and VfB Stuttgart (3 February, 3:30 p.m. CET). Matchday 21 includes an encounter between the current league leaders, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, and the current second-placed team, FC Bayern München (Saturday, 10 February, 6:30 p.m.). Two weeks later, the match between FC Bayern München and RB Leipzig is scheduled for Matchday 23 (Saturday, 24 February, 6:30 p.m. CET). On Matchday 24, 1. FC Köln will host Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the Rhine derby (Sunday, 3 March, 3:30 p.m. CET), before Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt face each other on Matchday 26 (Sunday, 17 March, 5:30 p.m. CET).

In the Bundesliga 2, the encounter between 1. FC Kaiserslautern and FC Schalke 04 will take place on Matchday 19 (Friday, 26 January, 6:30 p.m. CET), along with the match between Fortuna Düsseldorf, currently in fourth place, and FC St. Pauli, currently in second place (Saturday, 27 January, 8:30 p.m. CET). The contest between Hertha Berlin and Hamburger SV will take place on Matchday 20 (Saturday, 3 February, 8:30 p.m. CET), while newly promoted teams SV Elversberg and VfL Osnabrück will meet on Matchday 22 (Sunday, 18 February, 1:30 p.m. CET). In the following week, Matchday 23 sees the encounter between the current table leaders, Holstein Kiel, and second-placed FC St. Pauli (Friday, 23 February, 6:30 p.m. CET), as well as the Franconian derby between SpVgg Greuther Fürth and 1. FC Nürnberg (Sunday, 25 February, 1:30 p.m. CET). Schedules for Fortuna Düsseldorf against Hamburger SV (Friday, 8 March, 6:30 p.m. CET), and FC St. Pauli against Hertha Berlin (Sunday, 10 March, 1:30 p.m. CET) on Matchday 25 have also been confirmed.

The next set of exact fixtures for the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 are expected to be announced in calendar week 9 of 2024 (26 February to 1 March), following the draw for further rounds of the European club competitions.
