DFL releases exact schedule for Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 up to matchday 21

07.11.2018 – Today, Wednesday, the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga released the exact schedule for further Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 matches.
Bundesliga fixtures have now been set from matchday 15 to matchday 21. Matchday 17 will begin with current leaders Borussia Dortmund facing off against Borussia Mönchengladbach, currently second in the Bundesliga, on the evening of Friday, 21 December. After the winter break, Champions League participants TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and German champions FC Bayern München will open up the second half of the season on Friday, 18 January 2019.

The fixtures for Bundesliga 2 were also set up to matchday 21. Bundesliga 2 returns from the winter break a little later than the Bundesliga, beginning the new year with mid-week matches from 29 to 31 January. The first top match will be held on Thursday evening between 1. FC Union Berlin and 1. FC Köln.

The next fixtures for the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 are expected to be announced in calendar week 51, between 17 and 21 December, after the end of the group phase of the European club competitions.
