DFL sets exact schedule for next Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 matches
29 February 2024 – Today, the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga announced the set fixture dates and times for Matchdays 27-30 of the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 2023-24 season.
Matches now confirmed include the “Klassiker” between FC Bayern München and Borussia Dortmund on Matchday 27, which will take place on Saturday, 30 March, at 6:30 p.m. CET. On Matchday 28, in the following week, there will be a Rhine-Main duel between 1. FSV Mainz 05 and SV Darmstadt 98 (Saturday, 6 April, 3:30 p.m. CEST) and a direct clash in the competition for Champions League places: Borussia Dortmund (currently 4th) will welcome the current third-placed team VfB Stuttgart (Saturday, 6 April, 6:30 p.m. CEST). Matchday 29 will include the fixture between RB Leipzig and VfL Wolfsburg (Saturday, 13 April, 3:30 p.m. CEST). Matchday 30 opens with the game between Eintracht Frankfurt and FC Augsburg (Friday, 19 April, 8:30 p.m. CEST), and on Saturday, 1. FC Köln and Darmstadt 98, two direct rivals in the relegation battle, will meet in an all-important matchup (Saturday, 20 April, 3:30 p.m. CEST).
In Bundesliga 2, on Matchday 27, Hertha Berlin will play 1. FC Nürnberg (Saturday, 30 March, 8:30 p.m. CET), while the current table toppers FC St. Pauli will host SC Paderborn 07 (Sunday, 31 March, 1:30 p.m. CEST). Matchday 28 will include a clash between founding Bundesliga members Hamburger SV and 1. FC Kaiserslautern (Saturday, 6 April, 1:00 p.m. CEST). One week later will see FC Schalke 04 take on 1. FC Nuremberg (Saturday, 13 April, 8:30 p.m. CEST), as well as Eintracht Braunschweig against Hannover 96 in the Lower Saxony duel the following day (Sunday, 14 April, 1:30 p.m. CEST). The match between Hamburger SV, currently third in the league, and Holstein Kiel, currently second, is scheduled for Matchday 30 on Saturday, 20 April, at 8:30 p.m. CEST.
Due to the public holiday, there will be no Bundesliga or Bundesliga 2 matches on Good Friday (29 March). Instead, the schedule for Matchday 27 includes three matches in the Bundesliga and five Bundesliga 2 matches on Easter Sunday (31 March).
The exact schedule for the remaining Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 matches in the current 2023-24 season is expected to be announced calendar week 12 (18-22 March).
