19 February 2025 – German professional football continues to be a crowd-puller. In the first half of the current 2024-25 season, more people came to the stadiums than ever before. According to the ticket sales reports, which have now been submitted in full to the DFL, the 36 clubs of the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 sold a total of almost 10.38 million tickets. In the Bundesliga, the absolute number of spectators fell slightly to around 5.83 million; in the first half of the 2023-24 season, the figure was still 5.99 million. The absolute average attendance was 38,079 per game. The attractiveness of stadium visits in the Bundesliga is unbroken, as the relative capacity utilization shows, actually rising to 95.9 percent. 15 of the 18 Bundesliga clubs have an average attendance of more than 92 percent.
In the Bundesliga 2, attendance increased significantly from 80.7 percent to 84.3 percent.
