Hans-Joachim Watzke joins UEFA Executive Committee

5 April 2023 – Hans-Joachim Watzke, Speaker of the DFL e.V. Executive Committee and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of DFL GmbH, has today been elected to the Executive Committee of UEFA, the Union of European Football Associations, at the UEFA Congress in Lisbon.

Watzke was nominated for the election in his role as 1st Vice-President of the German Football Association (DFB) and will succeed the outgoing Rainer Koch. He will see out the remainder of Koch’s term, which runs for another two years.
