Review of TAG Heuer Virtual Bundesliga 2018-19 season

31 May 2019 – The 2018-19 season of the TAG Heuer Virtual Bundesliga (VBL) is history. The VBL Grand Final in May marked the end of the seventh season of the VBL, which was launched in 2012 by the DFL and EA SPORTS. After hundreds of thousands of FIFA 19 matches in the VBL Club Championship, the VBL Open, the VBL Playoffs in Dortmund and the VBL Grand Final in Berlin, Michael “MegaBit” Bittner from SV Werder Bremen beat his teammate Mohammed “MoAuba” Harkous in a thrilling final to become the 2019 German eFootball Champion. Previously, SV Werder Bremen had already won the VBL Club Championship to become the German eFootball Club Champion. In total, over 125,000 players took part in the VBL over the past season.
