Jürgen Paepke has been working for DFL GmbH since March 2002, first as a lawyer, then from 2009 as Head Lawyer. Since 2012, Paepke, who was born in Erfurt in 1970, has been Executive Vice President Legal. He has been on the Management Board since 2015. Following his schooling in Neumünster, Paepke studied Law at Christian-Albrechts University in Kiel and following the first legal state exam, acquired a Master’s degree at the German Academy of Management Sciences in Speyer. His second legal state exam was preceded by a clerkship at the District Court of Lübeck, while he has also worked at UFA Sports GmbH in Hamburg and the German-American Chamber of Commerce in Los Angeles, among others. At DFL e.V., Paepke is head of the Law working group, while he also sits on the DFB’s Control Committee and UEFA’s Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body.
