Responsibility

The DFL and the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 clubs assume social responsibility in a variety of ways. In line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, a key guideline for their actions are the areas of ecological, economic and social sustainability in all their various dimensions. This objective has been part of the statutes since the 2023-24 season, and the jointly adopted sustainability guideline is part of the licensing regulations. The DFL also supports the United Nations’ Football for the Goals initiative.

The DFL Foundation is an organisation created from professional football for society. Its aims are integration and participation and therefore equality regardless of background, culture or disability.
